Remarks: The TAWC was activated in 1963 to provide operational testing and evaluation of TAC aircraft, weapons and systems. It was also tasked with developing tactics and training for new developments. F-100s were present from the beginning, and one of the Center’s important early contributions was the development of the Wild Weasel 1 program, using the F-100F. The last F-100 departed in 1973.
