Remarks: Replaced the deactivating 39th Air Division at Misawa in 1968. Maintained nuclear alert detachments at Kunsan and Taegu ABs in Korea. The F-100s of the 356th TFS were quickly replaced by F-4Cs. The 612th TFS was also assigned on paper but never active with the 475th.
