Remarks: The 474th FBG was already attached to the 312th FBW when they converted to the F-100. However, in late 1957 it was elevated to wing status as well. Both the 312th and 474th FBWs then fell under operational control of the 832d Air Division. In 1965 the wing’s F-100s were sent to other units, and the wing was in non-operational “paper” status awaiting eventual conversion to the F-111.
